I DON’T WASH MY HAIR : NO-POO METHOD UPDATE

It’s already more than 2 weeks since I posted my “No-Poo Method” post . A lot has happened since then “hair-wise”😉.

In the 3rd week of January I discovered that when I put my hair up you don’t notice the grease in it too much. My family agreed that that’s the case 😂😉. I’m glad my hair is long enough to do that.

On the photos below you’ll see me on 18 January.

And here on 22 January.

In the same week I decided something risky. I’ve heard about the wonderful qualities of castor oil before but never really used it for my hair. But because it helps your hair to grow faster and stronger I really wanted to use it. So I took a risk of messing up my whole “No-Poo Method ” and used castor oil to nurture my scalp and the roots of my hair and gave it a good massage with it. Of course it meant that no amount of water will wash all that oil away ( the following day )…. So for the 1st time I washed my hair with water / baking soda solution ( I used 1 tbsp for 3 glasses warm water ). And then the miracle happened : all the grease, oil – castor and my own, and dirt were gone! My hair was clean and soft as it wasn’t for the previous 3 weeks😉😂. I didn’t want to use the appel cider then just to see how will my hair react to baking soda/ water solution only. My hair was very clean, soft and looked good for the next 3 days. Then I washed it again with water only and it was OK. This week I used castor oil again but instead of washig it out with baking soda the next day, I used the all-natural bar soap made by our friends. The result was evenly amazing! My hair was super soft, shiny and clean. And again it stayed that way for the next 3 days. Today is the 4th day and I can see that now it needs a water only wash up.

What I noticed in those 4 weeks :

The water only method isn’t pleasant but it’s not as bad as I anticipated. I don’t know how long would it take for my hair to regulate the production of sebum if I didn’t start using castor oil treatment. But I really wanted to check it out so I took a risk. I’m still not using any harsh chemicals and that’s important.

My hair was NEVER as soft as it is now! Like NEVER, even with all the conditioners and hair masks.

My hair is LONGER. For the 1st time in my life I could actually notice that my hair has grown before my eyes. I didn’t measure it before because it’s not easy ( curly hair ) but I see the difference. I would say it’s now 3-4 cm longer.

I’m still very excited about my journey, especially after seeing and feeling the results after only 4 weeks. And I can recommend  the “No-Poo Method” to you. Would you like to try it?😊

Greetings, Linda 😊😀💙

To nasza ludzka natura.
